VIPS delivered the full conversion of the Clock Tower Building, a Grade II listed landmark within one of Liverpool's largest collections of listed sites, taking the building from shell to handover as commercial office space with suites ranging from 250 to 9,000 sq ft.

The defining structural challenge was the former first-floor theatre. We engineered and installed a new large-scale mezzanine within the volume, forming a double-height perimeter atrium, with the new steelwork threaded into historic fabric under listed building consent and inspection at every stage.

Alongside the structural works, the building's original features were restored rather than replaced, including the existing windows and the clock tower that gives the building its name. A complete mechanical and electrical package was installed throughout, bringing modern services into a building never designed to carry them. The building now operates as a high-specification workplace, with its most visible historic features returned to condition and protected for the long term.
